Government Counsellor for Health and Social Affairs: M. Stéphane VALERI


The Department of Health and Social Affairs is in charge of managing public policies relating to the following domains :

- employment,
- industrial relations,
- occupational health,
- private and public sector national insurance,
- public health,
- social work,
- the family, the elderly and the disabled,

through the daily action of :

- the Department of Employment,
- the Department of Social Services,
- the State Medical Benefits Service,
- the Secretariat of the Industrial Tribunal,

and the public institutions placed under its authority, which are :

- the Princess Grace Hospital Center and the Social Protection Office.

It is also the responsibility of the Department of Health and Social Affairs to follow through the development of international agreements concerning social protection, particularly bilateral social security conventions agreed with France and Italy.
