Responsibilities

The National Education Centre’s main mission is to provide a very wide audience with a variety of information :

I - About studies and training :

- schools, universities, grandes écoles, specialised education institutes,
- entrance requirements to the establishments,
- degrees,
- grants, student accommodation, etc...

II - About professions :

- knowledge regarding occupations,
- training required,
- prospects,
- possibilities for improvement, etc...


The N.E.I.C welcomes :

- pupils from public and private schools,
- students,
- pupils’ parents,
- adults wishing to complete or acquire training,
- company or administrative services representatives etc...


There are two ways of obtaining information from the N.E.I.C. :

- personal interviews,
- direct access to information in their research centre with the help of researchers.


The N.E.I.C has numerous information sources :

- all the ONISEP documentation,
- various press reviews on specialised topics,
- National Education’s Official Bulletin,
- internet access (specifically allowing users to apply to Universities or other establishments),
- CD-ROMs regarding studies and occupations,
- a book-lending system,
- computerised tests for identifying professional profiles.
