Biodiversity Awareness Morning at the Ecole des Révoires School
On Friday 25 June, the Ecole des Révoires school held an awareness-raising morning for pupils on the theme of biodiversity.
At this event, the Department of the Environment gave a workshop on the subject of biodiversity in the Principality and the natural sites that are home to it. An interactive presentation, at which discussion was encouraged, enabled the pupils to find out about this heritage, which is not always well known, and the action to be taken to protect the biodiversity of our territory.
At the end of this workshop, the Department of the Environment presented each pupil with a copy of the book "Principality of Monaco, Biodiversity under High Surveillance." The book was created under the aegis of the Department of the Environment by photographer Jean-Charles Vinaj. It highlights the wealth of Monaco's biodiversity via photographs of heritage species of fauna and flora, taken in their natural environment.
