Today, the launch conference took place for the second Monaco Ocean Week, to be held from 8 to 14 April 2018.

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and its partners – the Prince's Government, Monaco Scientific Centre, the Oceanographic Institute and the Yacht Club of Monaco - are thus reaffirming their wish to take action in the face of threats to the environment, in particular to the ocean.

The aim of this week of events is to find ways to protect the marine environment, especially as concerns the challenges of climate change.  The programme is full and varied;  the key words will be "vigilance, awareness-raising and education."  In this respect, the Principality will bring together local and international experts, the scientific community, associations, economic players and public authorities, with a single objective – to commit to protecting the ocean.

A report is available on our social networks and from 7 p.m. on Monaco Info.

Full information and the programme can be found on www.monacooceanweek.org
