PRINCE PIERRE OF MONACO FOUNDATION - Press Release No. 2

Literary Tea,

Reading Marathon,

Best Literary Criticism,

and Prize for a Critical Essay on Contemporary Art

 

The main aim of the Reading Marathon, an event organised in connection with the awarding of the Literary Prize and Discovery Grant, is to involve users of media libraries in Monaco and the region in the Foundation's activities in the field of literature, and also pupils from three classes of the Collège Charles III, under the guidance of their literature teacher.

Still within the framework of the Reading Marathon, the Prince Pierre Foundation is offering readers a chance to gather at a literary tea on Wednesday 13 September at 5 p.m. in the Louis Notari Library, an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss the works selected by the Jury.

Another highlight of the Marathon is a meeting with the authors who are taking part in the Discovery Grant, on Wednesday 4 October, at 3 p.m. at the Louis Notari Library.

As a reminder, the choice of the Literary Council of the Prince Pierre Foundation, which was announced publicly on 10 May 2017, is:

The following authors were also selected for the Discovery Grant, a prize that recognizes a French-speaking author for a first work of fiction:

Prize for a Critical Essay on Contemporary Art

The Prize for a Critical Essay on Contemporary Art is awarded to a person or a collective - writers, theoreticians, academics or practitioners who use writing as a main medium or as a study strategy for undertaking innovative original research.  The winner is awarded the sum of EUR 3,000.

Thursday 5 October 2017, at 8 p.m., in the Salle Garnier.
