PRINCE PIERRE OF MONACO FOUNDATION 2019 Conference Series

 

 Monaco: 28 January, 4 February and 27 June

 External: 25 March in Madrid, 16 April in London

 

In 2019, the Prince Pierre Foundation will continue to raise its profile outside Monaco with two events planned in Madrid and London in addition to the conferences that will be held in the Principality.

Hidden Poisons or Culinary Delights – A Dialogue between a Chef and a Scientist

At a time when gastronomy occupies a vital place in our society, the quality of the products used does not measure up to that demanded by the flavours and creativity of recipes.

In light of this public health issue, Gilles-Eric Séralini, a professor and researcher at the University of Caen who specialises in genetically modified organisms and pesticides, and head chef Jérôme Douzelet decided to come together to speak out about the processes for evaluating chemical products and to take a fresh look at the rich variety of natural flavours.

Yves Saint Laurent – A Moroccan Passion

Rethinking Francophonie

As he rethinks the French-speaking world (Francophonie), Alain Mabanckou offers an insight into the events which have left their mark on the history of France, the French language and French-language literature. He shares with us the ideology and values that he associates with the very concept of Francophonie.

Sofonisba Anguissola (1535–1625) and Lavinia Fontana (1552–1614) are two of the most remarkable female painters in Western art. During their artistic careers, they gained recognition and fame among their contemporaries for and in spite of their status as female painters.

New Experiments in Art and Technology (NEAT)

Exhibition curator, critic and art historian Hans-Ulrich Obrist will discuss the future of technology, drawing on a wide range of artistic projects to demonstrate the possibilities that artificial intelligence opens up for creating new forms of art.
