The official launch of the Grace-Penn Medicine Concierge Service took place at the Yacht Club de Monaco this morning. The launch was attended by Mr Stéphane Valeri, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Mr Patrick Bini, Director of Princess Grace Hospital, Professor Larry Jameson, Executive Vice President of the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN) Health System and Dean of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, along with a number of professors and doctors from the two organisations and various other personalities.

In April 2013, in the presence of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, Mr Bini and Professor Jameson signed a partnership agreement aimed at increasing the number of exchanges between the two organisations in various fields of medicine (including cardiology, surgery and oncology). The objective of the agreement is to promote mutual cooperation in education, research and hospital care (sharing information, transferring know-how and technology, student and doctor exchanges, etc.).

This collaboration will now be expanded with the creation, in the Princess Grace Hospital extension in the Tamaris complex, of the Grace-Penn Medicine Concierge Service, which will offer Monegasque residents and the international community in Monaco personalised access to the UPENN care network in the fields of cancer treatment and cardiology to obtain second opinions.
