Introduction of a New Lift Linking the Lower and Upper Sections of the Avenue Pasteur via the Hospital

From now on, Wednesday 11th of May until the end of 2018, pedestrian traffic in the Avenue Pasteur (between the Tamaris and Caroubis buildings – upper entrance) will be suspended, in connection with construction work on the new hospital.

To maintain the link between the lower and upper sections of the avenue, a new itinerary has been implemented for pedestrians, via the promenade of the Princess Grace Hospital (CHPG) with access by an exterior lift, opposite the Tamaris building (see map below).

Signage has been installed to guide users to this lift in both directions of pedestrian traffic.

When circulating within the confines of the CHPG, users are reminded that they must conduct themselves in an appropriate manner, in line with the regulations in force in a healthcare establishment, so as to respect the tranquillity of patients and the medical staff and the quality of care.

The hospital premises remain, by their nature:

- A non-smoking zone, where it is forbidden to smoke outside the dedicated areas

- A place where animals are not permitted

- A place where ball games and wheeled toys and similar devices are not permitted

"This new pedestrian route in the Pasteur sector will make it possible, in complete safety, to lay the foundations for the future car park of the new hospital, which will eventually have spaces for 500 vehicles," explainedOlivier Lavagna, Director of Public Works.
