On 7 November 2016, the Embassy of Monaco in Austria organised an event to promote the Principality, entitled "The Principality of Monaco – A Dynamic, Responsible State that Looks Towards the Future."

A Monegasque delegation, comprised of Mr. Thierry Orsini, Director General of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Mr. Cyril Gomez, Director General of the Ministry of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, Mr. Guillaume Rose, Director of Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority and Mr. Hervé Ordioni, President of the Committee for the Promotion of the Monegasque Banking Sector at AMAF, presented the advantages of the Principality to a hundred or so guests from the political, economic, diplomatic and cultural worlds, who had gathered at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

This was an opportunity for the participants to present the basics of the Monegasque economy, the attractions of its financial sector, the Principality's new urban development projects, including the offshore urban extension project, as well as numerous events in the areas of business affairs and congresses.  There was a particular focus on the policy of sustainable development, which the Government has made central to its activities.

This promotional day closed with a dinner held in the presence of Viennese dignitaries in the prestigious setting of the Hotel Sacher.
