Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, Rémy Rolland, Director of the State Property Authority and Albert Croesi, Head of Mission to the Minister of State for the Apolline project, held a press briefing today to discuss the financial assistance measures that have been implemented by the Prince's Government for residents of the Jardins d'Apolline.

Following the public meeting of 21 June 2017 on restrictions on the use of water, the Government announced measures that remain in force (as a reminder, free rent and charges for June, July and August).

From 1 September, residents will pay 50% of their original rent and 50% of their rental charges, and those concerned will benefit from the payment of 50% of their National Housing Aid (ANL).  Holders of a CHC contract will only pay 50% of the charges and will benefit from 50% compensation on the amount of rent they would have paid had they been tenants.

While the work is being carried out, the State will put forward a solution adapted to each household.

Throughout the temporary rehousing period, rent and charges will not be paid, whether for an apartment at the Jardins d'Apolline or temporary accommodation.

The apartments will be returned in the same condition (off plan and with materials noted).

Each person has the opportunity of proposing temporary accommodation solutions (secondary residence, staying with relatives, renting in neighbouring towns).  A flat-rate monthly allowance will then be paid, according to the accommodation occupied at the Jardins d'Apolline:

1,500 € for a one-bedroom apartment

2,500 € for a two -bedroom apartment

3,500 € for a three-bedroom apartment

In all cases, the costs of moving and storing furniture are the entire responsibility of the State.

In addition, allocation of the new "Engelin" and "U Pavayùn" accommodation will be maintained – the relocation required will be absorbed by availability outside these projects.  Instructions have been given to the relevant departments in this regard.
