Healthcare Facilities
With universal access to healthcare, a strong workforce of highly qualified healthcare professionals, innovative healthcare infrastructure and a proactive approach to preventive healthcare, Monaco offers an outstanding level of medical services to both residents and the neighbouring population.
The healthcare available is provided by a number of top-quality health institutions, such as:
- Princess Grace Hospital (CHPG), the Principality's only public hospital, offers a comprehensive range of world-class care. The high standards of care, skilled workforce and efficient technical facilities have been recognised by France's Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS), which awarded the hospital the "Haute Qualité des Soins" certification with a maximum score of 100% in 2025. The result of an ambitious construction program, the future CHPG, which will welcome its first patient in September 2026, will offer state-of-the-art hospital infrastructure, strengthening integration with the regional healthcare network.
- For over 30 years, the Monaco Cardiothoracic Centre has been recognised as the PACA region's medical and surgical expert in cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, treating both adults and children
- Monaco Institute of Sports Medicine and Surgery, a clinic specialising in the treatment of bone and joint diseases, orthopaedic surgery, and traumatology, has extensive expertise in the field of sports medicine, with an emergency trauma unit on site
- The Monaco Private Dialysis Centre provides dialysis treatment for local and regional patients, as well as tourists from France and elsewhere, caring for patients according to their individual needs.
In addition, there are many private doctors' surgeries, pharmacies, and specialist clinics in the Principality, offering a wide range of healthcare services that are accessible to all. An on-call medical service ensures continuous access to care seven days a week from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. via the number 116 117.
