In keeping with the Princes of Monaco's longstanding history of arts patronage, the Prince's Government enacts an effective cultural policy that boosts the Principality's international cultural influence yet maintains rich cultural offerings within the Principality and strives to preserve and enhance local heritage.
The cultural policy initiatives are implemented by the Department of Cultural Affairs, overseen by the Ministry of Interior.
The pursuit of this policy is based on three main areas:

Ensuring a diverse cultural offering
In conjunction with the programmes on offer from the leading cultural institutions, the Prince's Government entrusts the Department of Cultural Affairs to organise a variety of events aimed at a wide audience, including the European Heritage Day, performances at the Fort Antoine Theatre, International Organ Festival, exhibitions held at Exhibition Hall on Quai Antoine I, Baroque Music Concerts, all supported by an affordable pricing policy.

The Prince's Government continues to encourage cultural excellence by supporting cultural institutions that enhance the Principality's international influence, such as developing museums and cultural facilities and supporting a variety of other creative endeavours.
