As Monaco’s attractiveness and vitality rely largely on the success of the many public events it hosts and on a constantly renewed real estate offering, the Government ensures that these activities are surrounded by the highest level of precaution in order to preserve the quality of life in the Principality.

The Principality of Monaco’s ability to attract visitors, investors, and talent from around the world is notably reflected in the many public events it hosts throughout the year. Their number and growing scale bear witness to the dynamism of Monaco’s economic model. Some of these events make use of public space and traffic routes, which inevitably requires adjustments and adaptations in terms of flows, storage, and safety management.

In order to reconcile the various interests involved and to ensure that the success of hosted events does not come at the expense of the quality of life of Monegasques and residents, government services are strongly mobilized to support economic operators in the organization of their activities.

In recent years, significant measures have been implemented to improve traffic flow within the Principality, including the introduction of new bus lines, a new on-demand transport service, the deployment of the Monabike self-service electric bicycle fleet, the development of pedestrian links, the renewal of mechanical transport links, and substantial investment in railway infrastructure.

At the same time, the Principality has chosen to pursue high-quality urban renewal while ensuring the protection of residents’ quality of life from potential construction-related disturbances. Construction activities are therefore subject to strict regulation, notably through controlled working hours, noise monitoring, and a range of requirements imposed on the companies involved.
