Monaco: A Place of Dialogue and Commitment to Peace Through Sport

Faithful to its tradition of openness and commitment to dialogue between peoples, the Principality positions itself as a place that fosters cooperation and shared action. In a rapidly changing world, sport remains a universal language capable of bringing nations closer together. The commitment of the military sports movement fully contributes to the promotion of peace. Hosting this General Assembly in Monaco reflects a shared ambition: to make sport a genuine space for dialogue, serving international stability and mutual understanding between peoples.

Bringing Nations Together Through Sport

Within this unique setting, a truly global community will come together: high-level military delegations, institutional and sporting representatives, and experts engaged in sports diplomacy. Discussions will focus in particular on strengthening ties between nations through the promotion of sport as a driver of lasting peace.

The week will be marked by conferences and institutional discussions, including the “Peace & Sport” conference. The General Assembly will also provide an opportunity to officially present the 2027 Summer Military World Games in Charlotte (United States) and the 2027 World Military Schools Games in Kazakhstan.

The Force Publique of Monaco: A Key Stakeholder

The involvement of the Principality’s uniformed services (Force Publique de Monaco) in organising the 81st CISM General Assembly is fully in line with its missions of security, representation and support for major international events hosted in the Principality. It comprises the Prince’s Carabinieri Corps and the Monaco Fire and Emergency Service. In this capacity, under the authority of the Ministry of the Interior, both corps are responsible for the organisation of the event and the security of the delegations. The Prince’s Carabinieri play a key role in official protocol: organising military honours, participating in ceremonies through the Carabinieri Orchestra, and enhancing the image of the Sovereign and the Principality.
