International University of Monaco Alumni Club launches Swedish branch
On 1 June 2026, the Embassy of the Principality of Monaco in Sweden had the pleasure of supporting and participating in the launch of the International University of Monaco (IUM) Alumni Club Sweden in Stockholm. The event, which coincides with the University’s fortieth anniversary celebrations this year, is part of a broader expansion of the IUM Alumni Club across the world. It also reflects a determination to boost ties between former students, whose professional success contributes to furthering the reputation of the University and the Principality of Monaco.
The gathering was held in Stockholm’s historic Sällskapet Club, bringing together 35 alumni to talk about their career experience and network in a welcoming environment.
Following speeches by H.E. Stéphanie Mourou Vikström, Monaco’s Ambassador to Sweden, and Jan Frydman, Monaco’s Consul in Stockholm, Viola Hillmer, the Director of Alumni Relations for the International University of Monaco, shared a message with the attendees on behalf of the University’s Dean, Jean-Philippe Muller. Ms Brolin and Ms Frisenberg were also present, representing Swedish alumni.
All those in attendance welcomed the launch of the alumni club and showed a keen interest in further meetings of this kind, which are a factor in the Principality of Monaco’s academic appeal.
