With the support of doctors in the Principality and at the initiative of the Prince’s Government, the “Médecins de Garde Monaco (Doctors on Call Monaco)” service will officially begin operations on 1 October 2025, marking a significant milestone in the improvement of out-of-hours medical care in the Principality.

On this occasion, a ceremony was held today to hand over the keys of the vehicle donated by Mr Jean-Marc Porceddu for the use of doctors on call, in the presence of H.E. Mr Christophe Mirmand, State Minister and Mr Christophe Robino, Minister of Health and Social Affairs.

 Night-time cover for home visits

This new system, which complements the daytime cover provided by local medical practices, is designed to strengthen access to non-emergency care between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Patients will be able to receive a consultation at home simply by calling 116 117.

A straightforward organisation

The non-profit organisation “Médecins de Garde Monaco (Doctors on Call Monaco)” (MGM), equipped with an electric vehicle, will provide cover for non-emergency medical needs throughout the Principality.
