Monapass introduces Apple Pay and Google Pay
The Digital Services Department (DSN) announces the integration of Apple Pay and Google Pay into the Monapass application. These new payment methods enable users to purchase tickets and services more quickly and conveniently.
Launched in 2021, Monapass has become, in just five years, a flagship application providing access to a wide range of services across the Principality. Initially dedicated to mobility, it now enables users to purchase tickets for the Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco and MonaBike, pay for on-street parking, and buy tickets for cultural venues, events and leisure activities (including cinema tickets and admission to the Grimaldi Forum Monaco Summer Exhibition, among others).
This latest development forms part of the Digital Services Department's strategy to simplify the user experience and deliver public services that are increasingly accessible, seamless and aligned with everyday needs. The integration of Apple Pay and Google Pay therefore represents a further step in the continuous enhancement of the Monapass application.
Available in French and English on both iPhone and Android, the application currently records more than 1,450 unique users every day and around 2,700 ticket validations daily.
Since its launch, Monapass has continued to evolve with the introduction of real-time transport information, notifications, new cultural and tourism services, as well as offers linked to sporting events and major events hosted in the Principality.
Users wishing to receive assistance in using these new payment methods may contact the Monapass Hotline ((+377) 98 98 99 29) and/or seek support from the advisers at the Digital House, who provide free assistance with digital services and online procedures. Advisers are currently available without appointment at the Monaco Telecom store in Fontvieille.
