Nature Weekend 2025: Discover Mareterra

The third annual “Nature Weekend”, organised by the Gardens Section of Monaco’s Department of Urban Amenities is set to take place in the new Mareterra district on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October 2025, from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm.

This year’s theme is “Explorer”, with visitors getting a behind-the-scenes look at the landscaping and design of Mareterra, an iconic new district created with sustainability and biodiversity in mind.

Throughout the weekend, teams from the Department of Urban Amenities will be running free activities for all ages, including:
• garden design games;
• eco-creative workshops with plant arrangements and repotting;
• tours of the neighbourhood and its green spaces.

These activities are a great opportunity to learn more about how Mareterra was designed, why certain plants were chosen, and the environmental considerations behind its development.
