Tourist and Convention Authority

Director: Mr Guy ANTOGNELLI

Role

The Tourism and Conventions Authority (DTC) is responsible for promoting the Principality of Monaco as a leading international destination, combining excellence, attractiveness, and high-quality hospitality.

It designs and implements promotional and marketing initiatives in international markets to strengthen Monaco’s positioning and increase its visibility among leisure and business audiences.

Relying on its teams and a network of seven overseas promotion offices, the Authority ensures an active and coordinated presence in its priority markets.
The Directorate acts for and in collaboration with the destination’s public and private partners, within a framework of cooperation and general interest. Its objective is to encourage high-quality visitor traffic throughout the year, while maximizing positive economic and image-related impacts for the Principality.

In this context, it aligns its missions with Monaco’s overall international outreach strategy and works in close coordination with stakeholders contributing to the Principality’s attractiveness — including cultural, professional, and scientific entities — as well as with the Government Communication Department and Monaco’s diplomatic corps abroad.

Organisation and operation

Its objective is to develop the destination’s brand awareness among leisure tourism professionals and direct consumers, with the aim of ensuring sustained visitor numbers and increasing the economic impact of leisure tourism.

Throughout the year, it organizes promotional initiatives targeting qualified contacts in order to create opportunities for exchange between clients and the Principality’s tourism partners.

In addition to its promotional role, it also acts as a one-stop shop for stakeholders who require it and whose events have a significant impact on the Principality.

It facilitates and coordinates connections between these stakeholders and all service providers necessary for the successful delivery of the event in the Principality.

It oversees the Tourist and Convention Authority ’s sustainability approach and ensures the integration of social, environmental, and societal criteria into the institution’s daily practices and operations.

It designs, coordinates, and implements the action plan in support of responsible and sustainable tourism, which constitutes a key pillar of the destination’s development strategy.
