Law and Legislation
Monegasque law was originally a statutory legal system based on the Roman tradition. In its modern history, its development has achieved a balance between the influence of statutory law and the judicial creation of case law.
Institutions
The political and institutional regime of the Principality is governed by Constitution of 17 December 1962 (as amended by Act N° 1.249 of 2 April 2002).
The Government
The Minister of State, assisted by five Government Advisors - Ministers, received from the Constitution the high mission of administering the Country.
