2026 Examination Session: Results Confirm the Excellence of Monaco's Education System

The 2026 examination session produced exceptional results, reflecting the high quality of education provided in Monaco's schools, as well as the commitment of pupils, students, teaching staff and families alike.

With an overall pass rate of 99.5%, the 2026 Baccalaureate examination ranks among the most successful examination sessions in recent years. Lycée Albert Ier and Lycée François d'Assise – Nicolas Barré achieved a perfect 100% pass rate in the General streams, while the Technological streams also recorded a 100% pass rate.

The outstanding results are further reflected in the high number of honours (mentions), awarded at three levels in the French Baccalaureate system:

• 324 honours (mentions) were awarded
• 53 highest honours (mentions Très Bien), including 6 awarded with the congratulations of the examination board
• 73% of candidates in the General streams graduated with honours (mentions)

The Technological streams also delivered excellent results, with:

• 9 high honours (mentions Bien)
• 17 honours (mentions Assez Bien)

Students in the Vocational streams at Lycée Rainier III also achieved outstanding results, recording a 97.3% pass rate, together with:

• 6 highest honours (mentions Très Bien), including 1 awarded with the congratulations of the examination board
• 10 high honours (mentions Bien)
• 34 honours (mentions Assez Bien)

100% pass rate in higher education and two Academy top performers

Lycée Rainier III recorded a 100% pass rate across all its BTS (Advanced Technician Certificate) programmes: Executive Support (SAM), Accounting and Management (CG) and Hospitality and Catering Management (MHR).

The 2026 examination session was also marked by two exceptional academic achievements:

• A student in the BTS in Executive Support (SAM) ranked first in the Academy, achieving an overall average of 19/20. She also obtained the highest mark ever awarded in CGRH (Human Resources Management Support) since the programme was introduced
• A student in the BTS in Accounting and Management (CG) also ranked first in the Academy, with an overall average of 19.14/20, confirming the exceptionally high standard of higher education in the Principality

The Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB) also confirmed the outstanding results achieved during the 2026 examination session.

Of the 401 candidates who sat the examination, 393 passed, representing an overall pass rate of 98%.

A total of 340 students were awarded honours (mentions), representing 86.5% of all candidates:

• 31.3% were awarded highest honours (mention Très Bien), including 29 candidates who received the congratulations of the examination board
• 29.5% were awarded high honours (mention Bien)
• 25.7% were awarded honours (mention Assez Bien)
