Coordination and Monitoring Committee for the National Strategy to Combat Money Laundering: work continues within a structured framework
The members of the First College of the Coordination and Monitoring Committee for the National Strategy to Combat Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Corruption met on Friday, 30 January, under the chairmanship of the Minister of State.

On this occasion, Mr Christophe MIRMAND recalled the significant developments achieved to date under the Action Plan defined by the FATF in June 2024. These advances have been recognised by the international community, notably through the FATF’s adoption of Monaco’s first two progress reports.
The relevant authorities and departments were commended for the quality and scope of the work carried out and for the reforms undertaken, with a view to achieving full compliance of the national framework with the highest international standards in combating money laundering, terrorist financing, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and corruption.
Beyond the objective of exiting the FATF grey list, and ultimately the European Union list, the Minister of State emphasised that all of the structural reforms under way are also intended, over the longer term, to prepare for the Principality’s forthcoming evaluation by the MONEYVAL Committee.
As the third report is due to be submitted shortly to the FATF Plenary for adoption, the members of the First College reviewed the exchanges that have taken place as part of the follow-up process since the last Plenary meeting in October 2025. In addition, feedback was provided on the 70th MONEYVAL Plenary Meeting, in which a Monegasque delegation took part in December 2025.
Lastly, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the major work streams that will continue or be launched in 2026, in line with the National Strategy adopted for the 2025–27 period and the associated National Action Plan.
In light of the above and of the milestones scheduled in the short, medium and longer term, the stakeholders involved were invited to remain fully mobilised and to maintain the efforts deployed to date.
