On Tuesday 7 April, Ms Isabelle BERRO-AMADEÏ, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, hosted a luncheon at the Hôtel Hermitage for the newly accredited Ambassadors:

The diplomats had the opportunity to exchange views with Ms Isabelle BERRO-AMADEÏ, notably in the presence of the Honorary Consul General of Japan, the Honorary Consuls of Georgia and Montenegro, as well as representatives of the Attractiveness Unit and the Monaco Economic Board.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the various aspects of the relations of friendship and cooperation maintained by the Principality with each of these countries.

4th General Assembly of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO)

The 4th General Assembly of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) was held in Monaco from 20 to 23 April 2026, bringing together more than 500 participants representing the Organization’s 104 Member States, observer international organisations, as well as three vessels and one autonomous platform in Port Hercule.

Monegasque delegation attends the 4th Assembly of the International Hydrographic Organization

The 4th Assembly of the International Hydrographic Organization took place in Monaco from 20 to 23 April 2026. The IHO’s headquarters have been based in the Principality for over a century, and the event was formally opened by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, accompanied by senior Monegasque officials. Close to eighty countries were represented at the Assembly, with six having joined the organisation in 2025/2026 including the Bahamas and Panama, both major maritime nations ranked among the world’s largest by merchant fleet tonnage.
