New sports ground for children opens on Promenade Honoré II
Children now have access to a safe, new sports ground on Promenade Honoré II.

Located within a residential district, the fenced area provides a space to play football and other ball games in a setting that has been designed to keep children safe and maintain a sense of peace and quiet for local residents.
The sports ground complements the existing children’s playground on Promenade Honoré II and is part of the Prince’s Government’s drive to offer more outdoor activities for children. It is entirely surrounded by fencing to prevent balls from being lost, and is equipped with an impact-absorbing surface. It is freely available to all, provided that users comply with the rules posted at the site, including a ban on leather balls to reduce noise disruption.
The sports ground is open:
- from 9 am to 6 pm, November to March;
- from 9 am to 7 pm, April to October.
This new facility supplements the CityStade on Quai Antoine I, aimed at older children and teenagers. Together, the spaces offer an expanded range of freely accessible sporting activities.
The Prince’s Government will continue to develop facilities for various age groups, and to take advantage of opportunities that help to broaden the availability of recreational activities in public spaces.
