The Prince’s Government announces the opening of enrolment for primary, secondary and Post-Baccalauréat programmes in the Principality, for both public schools and state-contracted private establishments.

The enrolment period for primary, secondary schools for both public schools and state-contracted private establishments and post-secondary programmes in the Principality is now open.

Enrolment for public schools can be completed easily online via the MonGuichet.mc (Education section) portal, accessible 24/7. 

This year, the enrolment procedure has been reviewed and simplified, with a significant reduction in the number of supporting documents required, in order to facilitate the process for families.

For those who prefer, paper application forms may still be completed directly at the relevant schools.

Below is the enrolment timetable:

From Monday 5 January 2026 to Friday 13 March 2026 inclusive.

Any child aged three or turning three during the first term of the school year, who is Monegasque and/or resident in the Principality, is eligible for enrolment in a public or state-contracted private school.

Further information on the Mon Service Public procedures:

Monegasque students, residents of the Principality, or students granted a derogation who are already enrolled up to Year 9 (Troisième) in a Monegasque public school are eligible for enrolment.

  • For Collège Charles III: from Friday 1 May 2026 to Friday 19 June 2026 inclusive
  • For Lycée Albert Ier and Lycée Rainier III: from Monday 12 January 2026 to Friday 19 June 2026 inclusive
  • For Collège of the Institution François d’Assise–Nicolas Barré: from Monday 5 January 2026 to Friday 13 March 2026, by appointment with the college’s administrative office
  • For Lycée of the Institution François d’Assise–Nicolas Barré: From Monday 5 January 2026 to Monday 1 June 2026, by appointment with the lycée’s administrative office

From Monday 19 January 2026 to Wednesday 01 April 2026 inclusive

All Post-Baccalauréat applications (BTS, CS, MAN, DCG) are now grouped under a single application process.

From Monday 16 March 2026 to Friday 15 May 2026 inclusive.

A derogation request must be submitted in the following cases:

  • Place of residence: student residing outside the Principality and of a nationality other than Monegasque.
  • School allocation (formerly “sector”): enrolment in a primary school other than the one corresponding to the geographic catchment area (see school map)

This must be carried out between 1 January and 1 May 2026.
