Traffic changes in place for Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo and Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique 2026

The holding of the 94^th Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo from 22 to 25 January and the 28^th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique from 29 January to 7 February will require some changes to traffic arrangements. These are particularly necessary as this year, the Principality is hosting a “Super Special” Stage on 24 January. The event, which starts at 6.35 pm, will comprise a spectacular timed stage covering nearly three kilometres around Port Hercule, on the lower part of the Monaco racing circuit, just like in 1997, 2007 and 2008. Below are the details of scheduled changes to traffic arrangements to help you plan your travel as efficiently as possible and make the most of these events.

VEHICLE TRAFFIC

On 24 January, the date of the Super Special Stage, the following roads will be closed to motorists between 3 pm and 11.30 pm:

• Quai des États-Unis (from the restricted access zone on the quay to the intersection with Route de la Piscine);
• Route de la Piscine;
• Avenue J.F. Kennedy (between Boulevard Louis II and Quai des États-Unis, the road will remain open to local residents, those with season tickets for the Louis II and Yacht Club car parks, and those seeking to reach the Rainier III Auditorium for the concert);
• Rue Grimaldi (downhill direction);
• Rocher Antoine I Tunnel;
• Rocher Albert I Tunnel.

The one-way traffic direction will also be reversed on Rue Suffren Reymond (between Rue Louis Notari and Rue Princesse Florestine) and Rue Princesse Florestine (between Rue Suffren Reymond and Rue Grimaldi). One-way restrictions will be introduced on Rue Imberty, while two-way traffic will be put in place on Rue Notari (between Rue Suffren Reymond and Rue Princesse Antoinette).

Boulevard Albert I will be accessible via the service road from 3 pm to 4.45 pm, but will close completely from 4.45 pm to 11.30 pm.

Advice on travelling to the Super Special Stage

There will also be a performance as part of the 48^th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival on the evening of 24 January, and the Chiron and Quai Antoine I car parks will be closed. It is therefore particularly advisable to plan your travel.

Those travelling to the Circus are advised to use the Albert II Tunnel and Marquet link road to reach the Fontvieille car parks.

Those wishing to watch the Super Special Stage are advised to park in Salines car park, which offers 1,700 spaces and is a 16-minute walk from Port Hercule, or the Station car park (accessible via Boulevard du Jardin Exotique). Other options are the Colle or Wurtemberg car parks (via Boulevard Rainier III). From there, simply take the Sainte-Dévote underground walkway, the lift at the Ilot 1 permanent footbridge (next to the Variety Theatre) or the temporary metal footbridge (near CFM) to reach Quai Albert I.

VEHICLE PARKING

Motorists will not be able to park on:

• Boulevard Albert I between numbers 19 and 27 until 9 February, between numbers 9 and 11 until 13 June, or anywhere along the road from 6 am on 23 January to 6 am on 25 January;
• Quai Antoine I until 6 pm on 25 January;
• Route de la Piscine until 6 am on 25 January;
• Quai Rainier III and Esplanade des Pêcheurs until 6 am on 8 February;
• Jules Soccal Jetty and Quai des États-Unis from 6 am on 24 January to 6 am on 26 January;
• Quai Rainier I from 11 pm on 23 January to 6 am on 25 January;
• Avenue de la Quarantine from 11 pm on 21 January to midnight on 25 January;
• Rue Princesse Antoinette, Rue Baron Sainte-Suzanne, Rue Princesse Florestine (between numbers 8 and 12), Rue Grimaldi, Rue Louis Notari, Rue Suffren Reymond and Avenue J.F. Kennedy from 6 am on 24 January to 6 am on 25 January.

PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC

Between 3 pm and 11.30 pm on 24 January, the Jules Soccal Jetty, the seaward side of the Southern Dock and the Northern Dock will all be closed to pedestrians, as will the pedestrian crossings between Boulevard Albert I and Quai Albert I.

ZOU! INTER-CITY BUS SERVICES

There will be no impact on the 600 service travelling in the direction Menton > Monaco > Nice.

In the opposite direction, buses will be diverted from Place d’Armes towards Avenue Prince Pierre in the direction of the Monte-Carlo Tourisme bus stop, before returning to their usual route.
