"Visit Monaco City Walk": Discover the Principality differently

Developed through a collaboration between the Ministry of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, and the Digital Transition Office, "Visit Monaco City Walk" is a new initiative designed to help visitors discover the Destination in a different way.

Created for those who wish to explore Monaco at their own pace, "Visit Monaco City Walk" encourages visitors to leave their car behind on arrival, explore the Principality's neighbourhoods on foot, enjoy the many experiences on offer along the way and simply let themselves be guided throughout their visit.

At the heart of the initiative is the citywalk.visitmonaco.com website, where visitors can easily plan their stay, choose their preferred route and discover Monaco at their own pace.

"Monaco is a destination to be experienced as much as it is to be visited. With "Visit Monaco City Walk", we want to give visitors everything they need to explore its neighbourhoods, discover unexpected places along the way and make the most of their time in the Principality," said Guy Antognelli, Director of the Tourist and Convention Authority.

A new way to discover Monaco with ease

"Visit Monaco City Walk" highlights the Principality's recommended public car parks, encouraging visitors to park on arrival before setting off to explore Monaco on foot.

Thanks to the close proximity of Monaco's main attractions and its wide range of mobility solutions, the Principality is easy to explore on foot. From one neighbourhood to another, visitors can enjoy discovering gardens, museums, shops, restaurants, panoramic viewpoints and Monaco's many iconic landmarks, all at their own pace.

To make planning even easier, visitors can check real-time parking availability across the Principality before they arrive, regardless of whether they drive an electric or petrol-powered vehicle. The website also enables visitors to reserve a parking space directly at the Salines Park & Ride facility, with the Wurtemberg Car Park to be added shortly, making it even easier to organise parking before arriving in Monaco.

Walking routes to explore Monaco neighbourhood by neighbourhood

The initiative features a selection of walking routes showcasing the Principality's different neighbourhoods through their must-see attractions, unique experiences and places of interest.

Each itinerary invites visitors to take the time to discover Monaco by highlighting the main attractions located along, or just a short walk from, each route. Dedicated wayfinding signage installed throughout the Principality makes every itinerary easy to follow, guiding visitors every step of the way.

Because every visitor experiences Monaco differently, the routes are fully flexible. Visitors can complete them entirely on foot or use the bus network to reach another neighbourhood, shorten an itinerary or continue exploring with ease.

An interactive map to help visitors plan and enjoy their stay

The citywalk.visitmonaco.com website features an interactive map enabling visitors to explore Monaco's different neighbourhoods through dedicated icons.

For each itinerary, visitors can view the distance, estimated walking time, an introduction to the neighbourhood, together with a detailed route description and its various points of interest. This allows everyone to choose the experience that best matches their interests and easily plan their day around the places they wish to discover.

Part of Monaco's digital tourism ecosystem

"Visit Monaco City Walk" complements the range of digital services already available to support visitors before and during their stay in the Principality.

These include Monapass, Your Monaco, Monaco Bus, Taxi Monaco, Mobee, Citymapper, Ma Place PMR and StreetNav, services that make getting around easier and help visitors make the most of everything the Destination has to offer.
