The Principality of Monaco is renowned for its peaceful surroundings. This is accomplished through the work of more than six hundred members of the Police Department, who contribute to this invaluable component of community life with the backing of more than a thousand video surveillance cameras.

Our presence on the ground, our contact with the local community and our respect for privacy ensures optimum safety for people and property.

The role of police officers revolves around several priorities:

  • Ensuring that a high level of security is maintained across the region through an appropriate and effective presence on the ground. Learn more about the role of the Urban Policing Division
