New regulation to combat plastic
Since several years, the Principality has been implementing a policy to reduce single-use plastics.
This approach is reflected in a series of progressive bans on everyday items, packaging and catering uses.
It is on 1 September 2026 that Ministerial Decree no. 2026-129 of 16 March 2026 will come into force.
This new measure bans disposable plastic containers in the takeaway food sector.
