Covid-19 : No New Positive Cases and Five Recoveries on Sunday 24 October

No new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Sunday 24 October.

The overall health figures for the Principality therefore remain at 3,389 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

Sadly, a 76-year-old resident who tested positive for the COVID-19 virus has died. This is the 36th death linked to the Coronavirus since the start of the epidemic in the Principality.  The Prince's Government extends its full support to the family and friends of this person at this time of great sadness in Monaco.

This evening, six patients, all of whom are non-resident, are provided-in patient care at Princess Grace Hospital.

There are five further recoveries to be noted. The total number of people who have recovered is therefore 3,323.

This Sunday evening, 18 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to patients with mild symptoms, who are invited to self-isolate at home.

The Princes' Government reminds you of the importance of being vaccinated against COVID-19. Currently, the vaccine is the most effective way of protecting oneself and others. Vaccination is available free of charge to Monegasques and residents over the age of 12.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.
