At the inauguration of the 2nd Personal Care Services Fair, which is taking place today at the Rainier III Auditorium, Didier Gamerdinger, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, thanked Maurice Cohen, the organiser of the Fair, for this initiative, which responds to the needs of the elderly and those who need care.

This day of discussion and lectures concretises the desire to improve the daily lives of seniors.  It is an opportunity for professionals in the personal care services sector to be informed of and trained in developments in the sector, strengthen their activities and network of relationships and improve the quality of the services they provide.

The Minister emphasised that "Healthy ageing in Monaco is the Government's objective;  it must take into account the sociological realities linked to the issue of ageing and respond to, and anticipate, the needs of the population by setting up a comprehensive and coherent system of personal care services for our senior citizens."

This report will be available this evening at 7 p.m. on the Monaco Info TV news.
