The Monegasque Association of Olympic Athletes began its new autumn season with a convivial, informal meeting in Fontvieille on Friday 20 September 2019, featuring a barbecue, which was attended by sixty or so of its members.

The event took place in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and many Monegasque celebrities.

Mr. Jérémy Bottin, who was recently elected President of the AMAO, thanked the Sovereign Prince for His presence and support, and presented Him with a polo shirt bearing the Association's new logo.  H.S.H. Prince Albert II is President of the Monegasque Olympic Committee and has been a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1985.   The Prince is Himself an Olympian, having taken part in five Olympiads from 1988 in Calgary to 2002 in Salt Lake City as a member of the national bobsleigh team.

In addition to its unifying role, the Monegasque Association of Olympic Athletes has set itself the objective, among other aims, of working closely with the Monegasque Olympic Committee to promote the values of Olympism in the Principality through a variety of projects.
