On Monday 28 March, Ms Isabelle BONNAL, Commissioner General for the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, yesterday accepted a cheque for €3,900 from Mr Rémy GAROSCIO, Head of Monaco’s Vocational and Catering School (LTHM). The funds were raised during a recent charity dinner held at the school in aid of Children’s Rights.

This gastronomic event, which took place on 4 February at the Cordon d’Or, was entirely conceived and put together by students in the Year 12 Hospitality and “Assistant Management of Organisations and their Activities classes” (AGOrA), as part of an educational and solidarity project.

All of the stages in developing this project we’re carried out to mobilise and bring together the talent, potential and creativity of everyone involved, creating a “masterpiece” in which the skills of each contributor fuelled the group’s ideas and actions.

With support from their teachers and the leadership team at Monaco’s Vocational and Catering School, the students demonstrated remarkable commitment, which they were keen to dedicate in full to a cause that is vital to the Department of Education, Youth and Sport: Children’s Rights.

The official presentation of the cheque was also attended by Ms Emmanuelle FARINEAU, Director of the Prince Albert II Leisure Centre, who leads work on preparations for International Children’s Rights Day, and Michelin-starred chef Joël Garault, who designed the fine dining menu for 4 February.
