Tourism promotional event following introduction of new direct flight between New York and Nice

To coincide with the launch of a new direct flight operated by United Airlines between Newark Airport (serving New York) and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, the Principality’s Tourist and Convention Authority held a promotional event in America.

The Monegasque delegation – comprising Director of Tourism Guy Antognelli, his deputy, Sandrine Camia and Laurence Aquilina, Head of the Leisure Travel and Sales Department – was joined by the CEOs of the Principality’s main hotels.

In addition to days devoted to meetings with travel agents and journalists specialising in tourism, the top highlight of the event was a roundtable discussion on the spectacular recovery of luxury tourism on the North American market. The panel included the United Airlines Director for the Atlantic Region, AFAR magazine’s Digital Content Director, the Vice-President of luxury travel agent group Internova, and the CFO of online agency Travala.

The busy event concluded with the official launch of the new flight by the Director of Tourism at the airport boarding gate, surrounded by the United Airlines crew.
