COVID-19: 16 new positive cases and 8 recoveries on Monday 30 May

Sixteen new positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded on Monday 30 May.

This brings the Principality’s total coronavirus cases since the beginning of the health crisis to 12,186.

This evening, six people, including five residents, are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital. There are no patients in intensive care.

Eight further recoveries have been reported, bringing the total number of people who have so far recovered to 12,071.

This Monday evening, 41 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-Up Centre, which offers medical support to those with minor symptoms who are asked to self-isolate at home.

In accordance with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this area, this daily update reports coronavirus cases among residents only.

The Prince’s Government is also releasing figures relating to testing. These figures include data up to Sunday 28 May inclusive.

  • Number of tests carried out on residents and non-residents between 23/05 and 29/05 inclusive: 1,394 PCR and antigen tests.
  • Positivity rate of tests carried out on residents and non-residents: 8.9%.
  • Incidence rate, i.e. the number of positive tests per 100,000 people over the past seven days: 148 (271 last week).
