Covid-19: 27 new positive cases and 68 cured on Monday 25 April

Twenty-seven new positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded on Monday 25 April.

This takes the total number of people infected with the coronavirus in the Principality since the start of the health crisis to 11.632.

As of this evening, 31 people are provided in-patient care at Princess Grace Hospital, 13 of whom are residents. There are no patients in intensive care.

A further 68 people have recovered from the virus. The total number of recovered cases stands at 11.464.

As of this Monday evening, there are 93 people being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-Up Centre, which provides medical support to patients with mild symptoms who are invited to self-isolate at home.

In line with practices adopted by the WHO and neighbouring countries, this daily update only includes residents with COVID-19.

The Prince’s Government is also releasing figures relating to testing. These figures include data up to Sunday 24 April inclusive.

· Number of tests carried out on residents and non-residents between 18/04 and 24/04 inclusive: 2.000 PCR and antigen tests.
· Positive test rate for residents and non-residents: 20.3%.
· Incidence rate, i.e. number of positive tests per 100,000 people over the past seven days: 519 (662 last week).
