COVID-19: do not go to the Accident & Emergency Unit with minor symptoms

Faced with the resurgence of the epidemic in recent weeks, the Prince’s Government would like to remind people what they should do if they experience symptoms that suggest they may be infected with SARS-CoV-2 or any other virus.

If you have symptoms consistent with COVID or another illness (e.g. gastroenteritis), contact the COVID-19 Call Centre on +377 92 05 55 00, which is open seven days a week from 8 am to 8 pm.

An operator will explain how to get a PCR test if necessary.

The symptoms of COVID-19 are: fever, tiredness, headache, cough and sore throat, aches, difficulty breathing, loss of smell, etc.

If you need medical advice, call your usual doctor or the on-call doctor. The doctor will offer a teleconsultation if required.

If you have minor symptoms, you should not under any circumstances go to the Princess Grace Hospital Accident and Emergency Unit. Please remember that this unit is only for essential care and emergencies.

Call your usual doctor or the on-call doctor, who can offer advice quickly.

If your symptoms get worse and you have difficulty breathing or feel breathless, contact the emergency services on 18 or 112.
