COVID-19 - As of Tomorrow, Lifting of the Curfew and Broadening of the Clientele Allowed in Restaurants and Bars.

In view of the health situation, H.S.H. Prince Albert II has decided to continue to ease the current health measures by lifting the curfew and increasing access to restaurants and bars in a supervised manner as from tomorrow, Saturday 26 June. These decisions follow on from the proposals made by His Government in consultation with the National Council at a meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee held this afternoon at the Ministry of State.

End of the curfew

It has been decided that the curfew will be lifted on the eve of the summer holiday period tomorrow. However, the Health Authorities remind us of the importance of remaining vigilant at social gatherings that are conducive to the spread of the virus, as the first cases of the Delta variant have been observed in the Principality and in the neighbouring region, among people returning from travelling.

Vaccination extended to public sector personnel.

Cases in the last few days have occurred almost exclusively at private gatherings, where barrier measures were not adhered to, and in people who have not been vaccinated.

This situation has led the Prince's Government to remind the public of the need to be vaccinated to protect themselves and others. Persons who wish to be vaccinated can contact the COVID-19 call centre on 92.05.55.00, open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., or via the form provided for this purpose and available by following the following link: https://vaccination-covid19.gouv.mc/

Moreover, from Monday, vaccination will be extended to all public sector personnel.

Restaurants and bars open to all in a controlled manner

While the Health Pass is being implemented in the Principality of Monaco and in the countries of the European Union, it has been decided, following consultation by the Minister of State with professionals in the catering sector, to abolish restrictions on the origin of customers of  restaurants and bars. To ensure maximum health safety in the Principality, anyone wishing to go to a restaurant will have to carry a Health Pass or equivalent proof of their vaccination status, the result of a negative test or certificate of recovery.

This measure does not apply to Monegasques and residents, employees, or residents of the Alpes-Maritimes and the province of Imperia. However, those people must carry a document showing proof of residency.
