The first COVID-19 vaccination in Monaco was given at the Hector Otto Foundation today.

At 5 p.m. on 31 December, 94-year-old Yolande, the eldest of the volunteers, was the first Monegasque resident to be vaccinated in the Principality.

Initially, vaccinations will be available to senior residents aged 75 or over, living either in care homes or in the community, who have received a letter from the Government inviting them to contact the COVID-19 Call Centre (92.05.55.00 ) if they wish to receive the vaccination. They will then be contacted and a vaccine appointment made for them at the Espace Léo Ferré.

In parallel, all residents of the Principality will be able to consult the website covid19.mc for all the information they need on the vaccination campaign and schedule.

“The priority is to protect our elderly and most vulnerable. I would like to thank Yolande for her willingness to be vaccinated.

The Government is grateful to the French Republic for its crucial support which enabled the delivery of these first vaccines,” said Didier Gamerdinger, Minister of Health and Social Affairs.
