COVID-19: Five New Positive Cases and Five Recoveries on Tuesday 17 November. Sadly, One Death has been Announced

Five new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Tuesday.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 557 people affected by the coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

Sadly, the death has been announced of a resident, who was in their eighties and receiving treatment at the CHPG.  This is the third death of a resident of the Principality from the coronavirus since the beginning of the epidemic.  The Prince's Government would like to express its full support to the family and friends of this person at this time of great sadness in Monaco.

This evening, 17 patients are being treated at the CHPG:  11 patients, six of whom are residents, are hospitalised.  In addition, six patients, three of whom are residents, are in intensive care.

There are five further recoveries to be noted.  The total number of people who have recovered thus amounts to 467.

This Tuesday evening, 51 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to people with mild symptoms, who are invited to self isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the coronavirus.
