The Committee for Graduate Employment (CID), chaired by the Minister of State, Pierre Dartout, met on Tuesday 6 July 2021 to review its activities.

At this meeting, the 2020 annual report and an update on the first half of 2021 were presented to the Committee members.

The Committee for Graduate Employment has two objectives:

  • To develop links between students and higher education graduates and the business world;
  • To help young graduates find employment in the private and public sectors;
  • To help expatriate graduates return to the Principality.

In addition, the CID assists young people with building their career path from high school onwards, in parallel with their careers advice.

"Inform, support and be attentive"

The CID's executive unit was keen to emphasise the significant increase in its activity over the last 16 months, due, to a large extent, to the difficulties encountered by young people in their search for work placements and sandwich courses in the context of the current health crisis.

Furthermore, members had the opportunity to discuss the directions to be taken for 2021/2022, in particular the impact of the economic recovery that is under way on the professional integration of the young people assisted by the CID.

The CID will therefore continue with and increase its activities to promote the integration of Monegasque graduates and those with links to the Principality into the Monegasque economic fabric, through supportive individualised coaching and the development of a network of partner companies that might be willing to employ them.

The theme of the Committee for Graduate Employment's activities for 2022 will be "the professions of the future and of tomorrow!", so as to highlight the professions that are currently recruiting, as well as those that have not yet been created but will be pursued by today's high school students.

More than ever, the activities of the Committee for Graduate Employment will focus on shaping the future professional life of Monaco's young people.
