The Côte d’Azur Garden Festival is making its return to the Principality this weekend!
The Principality of Monaco is once again taking part in the Côte d’Azur Garden Festival this year.
From 25 March, the Casino terraces (Fairmont side) will offer the public the chance to see two landscape creations on the theme of the 4th Festival, sponsored by Denis Brogniart, “Surprising Perspectives”:
“La jetée” (“The Pier”) by Sarah Houlbert and Julien Thirion (France);
- “Fire: the surprising gardener” by Amber Myers and Studio Fish & Pot (Netherlands, South Africa)
The Prince’s Government will also be represented in the “out of competition” category with the piece “Une question de point de vue” (“A Question of Perspective”) designed by Timothée Roche, a draughtsman in the Department of Urban Amenities Design Office, and brought to life by staff in the Roads and Gardens sections.
As part of this festival celebrating the botanic and heritage wealth of the gardens on the Côte d’Azur, there will also be a day of events from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday 1 April that will delight young and old alike. The theme for the day will be “Discovering botanical and artistic heritage”, and it is one not to be missed, with lots of free activities suitable for all the family (a treasure hunt in a plant maze, a giant memory game, workshops on making a herb garden bookmark, watercolour workshops, and more).
