Yesterday evening, a live Radio Ethic programme, focusing on energy transition, took place in partnership with the Government Communication Department.  This particular subject for the programme was chosen because of the personal involvement of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, who was the first signatory to the National Pact on Energy Transition.

Several players from the field of sustainable development in the Principality took part in this broadcast:  Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux, Director of the Mission for Energy Transition, Roland de Rechniewski, Director of the Monegasque Bus Company, Marjorie Crovetto-Harroch, Deputy Mayor, Delegate for Quality of Life, the Environment and Sustainable Development, Céline Varenio, Waste-Sorting Ambassador at the SMA, Nicolas Buteau, Manager of the Mobee Company and Kate Powers, Manager of the Stars'n'Bars restaurant.  The programme, hosted by the journalist Noël Fantoni, took place at this establishment, which is also offering an afternoon devoted to energy transition on Sunday 25 November.

Many different topics were discussed during the programme - mobility, waste, buildings, combating singe-use plastic, food waste, education, etc.   The Principality's major projects, such as the urban offshore extension and the proposed cable car, were also mentioned.

Radio Ethic, which was founded in 2005, reaches more than 50,000 listeners per month.  Via programmes that are accessible to all, it offers reflections and insights on the topic of sustainable development and on the ecological objectives pursued by the Principality.  Radio Ethic can be streamed on the Internet (http://www.radioethic.com/ ), and is available on digital terrestrial radio (DAB+) on Monaco and Nice and on 96.7.
