3rd Meeting of the Historical Sites of the Grimaldis of Monaco - 4 and 5 June 2022 (from 10 a.m.) - Place du Palais Princier - Free and open to all

The 3rd Meeting of the Historical Sites of the Grimaldis of Monaco will be held this weekend, on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June, on Place du Palais Princier.

Three departments will be in the spotlight, presenting 14 different communes:

- for Manche: Saint-Lô, Hambye, Torigny-les-Villes, Granville, Moyon, Percy-en-Normandie and Cherbourg;

- for Territoire de Belfort, Belfort and Giromagny;

- for Alpes-Maritimes, Cagnes-sur-Mer, La Turbie, Antibes-Juan-les-Pins, Puget-Théniers and Peille.

The event will be held in an atmosphere of friendship and sharing. There will be lots of events for young and old alike: horse-drawn carriage rides around Monaco-Ville, an opportunity to taste some culinary specialities, folk dances, a chance to discover artists and traditional trades, a boules arena, jazz groups, and so on.

 

Each site invited to the event will also highlight its historic links to the Principality.

Programme: 

* Saturday 4 June

10 a.m.: Site village opens

11 a.m.: Speech by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and award of trophies to invited mayors

12 p.m.: Grand changing of the guard by the Palace Guards

12.15 p.m.: Presentation of performances by each site in turn

8.45 p.m.: Grand concert by the Palace Guards Orchestra

10 p.m.: Sound and Light show projected onto the facade of the Prince’s Palace

* Sunday 5 June

10 a.m.: Site village opens

11.50 a.m.: Changing of the guard by the Palace Guards

12.15 p.m.: Presentation of performances by each site in turn

7 p.m.: Farandole by all participants

7.30 p.m.: Village closes
