End-of-year exams 2021 Complete success rewards efforts of Principality’s entire school community

The Principality’s secondary school pupils and students put in a flawless performance in the end-of-year exams for 2021.

Pupils achieved a 100% pass rate in the A-Levels (across all streams), with 88.09% of entries achieving honours.

There was also success across the board in the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB), with 100% of pupils passing their examinations and 88.92% achieving honours.

Finally, all students registered for the Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS) examinations in 2021 achieved passes.

These figures reflect the quality of the support offered to all pupils throughout the 2020/21 academic year, despite the constraints of the health situation.

A-Levels:

In the General A-Levels (Lycée Albert I and Lycée François d’Assise – Nicolas Barré), the pass rate was 100% and 94.64% of pupils were awarded honours:

• 61 pupils passed with highest honours
• 116 pupils passed with high honours
• 88 pupils passed with honours

In the Technology A-Levels (Lycée Albert I and Monaco’s Vocational and Catering School), all pupils passed and 74.63% of pupils were awarded honours:

• 3 pupils passed with highest honours
• 19 pupils passed with high honours
• 28 pupils passed with honours

In the Vocational A-Levels (Monaco’s Vocational and Catering School), the pass rate was again 100% and 78.57% of pupils were awarded honours:

• 12 pupils passed with highest honours
• 31 pupils passed with high honours
• 34 pupils passed with honours

All lower secondary school pupils in the Principality passed the Diplôme National du Brevet and:

87.36% of pupils at Collège Charles III were awarded honours:

• 103 pupils passed with highest honours
• 78 pupils passed with high honours
• 54 pupils passed with honours

91.80% of pupils at Collège François d’Assise – Nicolas Barré were awarded honours:

• 47 pupils passed with highest honours
• 38 pupils passed with high honours
• 27 pupils passed with honours

All pupils in the special needs general and professional education (SEGPA) section at Monaco’s Vocational and Catering School achieved honours:

• 3 pupils passed with highest honours
• 3 pupils passed with honours

In the 2021 BTS examinations, all students studying Management Accounting and Executive Support at Lycée Albert I were successful.

Students studying Hotels and Catering (all options) at Monaco’s Vocational and Catering School did equally brilliantly in their examinations.

At the end of this school year, the Prince’s Government sends its warmest congratulations to all pupils and students whose efforts and conscientiousness have now been rewarded by results which once again are a credit to the Principality.

The decision taken by the Prince’s Government to allow classes to be held in person with strict health measures in place created the necessary environment for pupils to succeed.

With this in mind, the Government would like to pay tribute to the tireless commitment of the Department of Education, Youth and Sport and all of its staff.
