On Wednesday 20 November, as part of celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, Michaël Gregorio gave a concert at the Grimaldi Forum, in the presence of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover and Msgr Bernard Barsi, Archbishop of Monaco.

The concert took place in a very convivial atmosphere, with a particularly enthusiastic audience.  Michaël Gregorio, who is very committed to promoting humanitarian causes, had agreed to support the work of the Department of Education, Youth and Sport (DENJS) in this way.  This special performance was preceded, during the day, by festive and educational activities, which took place on the forecourt of the Grimaldi Forum and were instigated by the DENJS and Presidents of partner Monegasque humanitarian associations.

This year's event enabled a cheque for EUR 15,000 to be given to AMADE and will make it possible to provide financial support to associations in the Principality that work in the humanitarian field, particularly with regard to child protection.  Assistance will also be given to deserving pupils and students in the Principality and neighbouring towns who are experiencing a time of financial difficulty.

Every year, the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, under the high patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, is involved in celebrating the anniversary of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 20 November 1989.
