As part of the preventative health programme for schoolchildren offered by the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, high school pupils from the Principality benefited from a second session on preventing HIV-AIDS.

Year 11 pupils from the Lycée Albert Ier attended a screening of a documentary on the Maison de Vie residentialcentre in Carpentras, which was founded by Princess Stéphanie of Monaco.  The pupils were therefore able to learn about the daily life of many people who live with HIV and the distress they experience due to the isolation and discrimination that many suffer.  Following this presentation, the pupils had an opportunity to talk to Hervé Aeschbach, Coordinator of the Fight Aids Monaco association.

In addition, on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 February, the pupils took part in a "Zapping" afternoon at the Variety Theatre.  These afternoon events, given by the Solidarité Sida association and organised by the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, Fight Aids Monaco and the Monegasque Red Cross, enable young people from the Lycée Albert Ier, Monaco's Vocational and Catering School (Lycée Technique et Hôtelier de Monaco), the Lycée François d’Assise – Nicolas Barré and the Football Training Centre to talk freely about issues related to sexuality and AIDS.  At this event, time for relaxation alternated with information sessions by health professionals.

The booths by the AIDS Screening Centre and other associations that participated in these afternoon sessions enabled pupils to gain further knowledge to complement the information in the presentation.
