Following the launch of Monaco Santé in 2020, H.S.H. Prince Albert II attended a presentation of the platform's new features, which took place at the Monaco Yacht Club. The presentation was also attended by Didier Gamerdinger, Minister of Health and Social Affairs and Frédéric Genta, Country Chief Digital Officer, among others. The aim was to make an initial assessment in the presence of numerous healthcare professionals and representatives of healthcare establishments.

The "Monaco Santé" platform is one of the cornerstones of Monaco's e-health strategy, jointly backed by the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and the Digital Transition Office. It is one of the aspects that contribute to the attractiveness of the "Extended Monaco" digital transformation programme, which for the past three years has been building the key infrastructures required for finding ways to optimise patients' healthcare pathways and the relationship with healthcare establishments and independent health professionals.

The digital portal was designed to facilitate the procedures undertaken by Monegasques, residents and visitors, for better healthcare. It is available 24/7 in five languages (French, English, Italian, Spanish and Russian). The digital portal offers :
- online booking of appointments;
- a directory of all healthcare professionals in the city and in healthcare institutions;
- health news in the Principality;
- archiving of personal information by opening a personal account;
- emergency and out-of-hours numbers synchronised in real time.

The inclusion of teleconsultations and secure messaging between healthcare professionals are major new features of the system, reflecting the growing involvement of all players in the sector with regard to digital technology, in order to create a more fluid "patient experience" while maintaining a human connection.

As Didier Gamerdinger stated, "Monegasque digital health is a shared ambition - to continue to make Monaco a place that is a leader in this field. To do so smoothly and efficiently, with the help of everyone. For our patients and their well-being, because that is precisely our role."

Frédéric Genta stated that, "Monaco Santé is the foundation the Principality needed to build the future of e-health, starting today. It is also a strong marker of quality of life and attractiveness for our country."

In His speech, H.S.H. Prince Albert II thanked all the key players in the Principality who have been involved in this project, in a context in which digital health aims to anticipate needs, act preventatively and treat patients. A healthcare system that must be able to rely on high-performance digital tools for the benefit of all, patients and healthcare professionals.

The portal is available on the Internet at https://www.monacosante.mc/  or on a smartphone or tablet, via the mobile app, which can be downloaded on iOS and Android.
