Mélèzes upward extension: work set to begin

As part of the Housing Plan, the Mélèzes building, which has benefitted from a renovation of its facade and communal areas, will soon receive the modules that will allow it to be extended upwards, creating 14 additional homes.

With good progress having been made on the work to prepare for the arrival of these modular structures, they will soon be transported to the Principality.

To limit the disruption caused by these special deliveries, the Prince’s Government has decided that they will be transported during the school holidays between 18 and 25 February, at night (2 am to 5 am).

The modules will be hoisted and installed during the day, according to the following schedule:
- Saturday 18 February, 8 am to 8 pm
- Monday 20 to Friday 24 February, 7.30 am to 8 pm
- Saturday 25 February, 8 am to 8 pm

During this period, an alternating traffic scheme using one lane will be in place on Boulevard Rainier III between the junction with Avenue Prince Pierre and the access to Rue Plati.

The renovation and upward extension of Les Mélèzes are part of the National Housing Plan for Monegasques, which was launched by the Prince’s Government in 2019. The upward extension will create 14 additional homes.
