Didier Gamerdinger, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Frédéric Genta, Interministerial Delegate responsible for Digital Transition, Thierry Poyet, Technical Advisor, Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition, Head of Innovation and Digital Economy and Véronique Campana, Liaison Officer at the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, gave a presentation to the press on the e-health system that will be implemented in the Principality.

"The Prince's Government is investing in this area as part of digital transition.  It has adopted an action plan to ensure that the Principality consolidates its place in the field of healthcare by combining the comfort of patients with excellent healthcare provision," emphasised Didier Gamerdinger.  The main objective is to be positioned at the forefront of the healthcare of the future.  It is essential that new resources are made available to all health professionals and that patients are central to reflexion in this field, while ensuring that all data is secure.

One of the first developments, which will take effect in 2019, as presented by Frédéric Genta, will be "[...] the launch of a health portal on which users and professionals will have access to health information and which will provide a directory of health professionals, as well as an online appointment booking platform.  One of the main aims of all this is to provide professionals with reliable and innovative work tools and create a patient pathway that will run smoothly."

In his conclusion, the Minister emphasised that "this is a strong commitment by the Prince's Government and a challenge it intends to meet."
